"Those jews are stealing all our money and land, we must get rid of them".

Scapegoating is used by all.
The Blame Game has been around for hundreds of years and it is nothing new.
Christians, jews, blacks, latinos, asians, even whites have experienced scapegoating.
But what astounds me is the fact that scapegoating is more prevalent during economic hardships.
For example: During the Great Depression a lot of people started blaming immigrants for job losses...wich coincidentally is happening right now like before.
We see the rise of hate groups and hate speech grow once more. And with a half-black president now in the White House - racism has not declined, but rather accelerated in many places.

The best know scapegoats are the Jews. For more than a millenia these people have been arrested, deported, harassed, raped, slaughtered and ridiculed.
We all have learned about World War 2 and how Hitler ordered the killing of millions of non-"aryans". The reason why Adolf came into power was not only because he was a magnificent orator but because he KNEW the German economy was in shambles and the Germans needed a scapegoat. Lo an behold, Adolf indoctrinated the Germans and made them believe it was the Jews causing all the problems. Shortly after gaining enough power, people began harassing and driving out jews from their neighborhoods. Harassing them in the streets, arresting and deporting them, burning their synagogues, and ultimately killing them.
The hatred towards jew grew so much that people started believing all the Nazi propaganda about how the Jews were the eternal enemy of Germany and were only infesting the country.

Of course, hatred towards jews has decreased...but surprisingly in 2009 jews were put into the limelight once more thanks to Bernard Madoff, the jew who swindled not millions but billions of dollars from gullible innocent investors. This brought out the stereotype of the Jew into the media : A deceitful money-hungry parasite. Even the jews noticed that the stereotypes and the hatred was being unleashed upon them like before. Anti-semitism was starting to hike around the country and many jews feared for their safety- thinking some people might get out of hand and attack jews all of a sudden. Immigrants around the world are not only mentally and sometimes physically abused...but also blamed for many things; ranging from stolen goods, random crimes, job losses, etc.
Like jews, immigrants too have been a scapegoat for many years. From the United States and all the way to Europe - immigrants of all colors have been treated like modern slaves.
Is it coincidence that in 2008-2009 and in the great depression many immigrants were rounded up as the scapegoats of job losses? Being blamed for "taking American jobs"? The very jobs one looks as "gross", "filthy", or "low class"? The indigenous immigrants are not in control of the stock market nor are they in control of the Banks... so saying they are at fault for the Economic problems is absurd. Quite the contrary, it is them who are able to keep food prices low because of their miserable slave-like working conditions and embarrassingly low pay.
So called anti-immigration organizations claim to be only against illegal immigration and deny any racism. Surely only an imbecile would believe that no racism is involved. These people when on radio or television do not just debate, but rather speak with an obvious racial undertone.
The fact that they deny it only shows how cowardly they are.

It is claimed by many members of such racist groups that diseases are brought to their country only by immigrants (as if they are disease-free or never get sick). But that is not the case, anyone can be the bringer of a virus or disease - immigrant or not.
They also claim all immigrants are illiterate...i have failed to see immigrant laborers stutter or ask me to read for them. The majority can not only read but also write and speak fluently.
Many racists say it is immigrants who bring out obesity and bad eating habits; this is one of the most ridiculous lies. Most immigrants that come to America are skinny or not even close to obese, it is once they are in the country that they start gaining weight and get fat because of the American junk food they are only able to afford. Thus they get accustomed to grotesque eating habits of the "typical American". If anything, had it not been for the invasion of Mcdonalds and soda companies,and other cheap low-class fattening foods into South America- Mexico and South America would not be suffering from obesity. Even when they live in poverty and do not have health insurance....they have less chronic illnesses, a lower rate of heart disease and cancer and they do not complain and theylive longer lives. Of course...now diabetes and heart disease and other diseases are increasing, not because of their race - but rather because of the introduction to American junk food food.

Sure, some of us may disagree with politicians- but these people not only disagreed with obama....they HATED Obama, for his political view? Absolutely not, many exposed themselves as racist by saying such things as "He is a terrorist", " An Arab","he is a house-negro", "We don't want a muslim in the White House". It is as if the word "muslim", "terrorist" or "arab" all of a sudden became a code word for "black". They would not stop talking about how he was muslim and how he did not belong in the White House. One does not have to look far for proof.
